8 cups water 8 black tea bags 1 cup brown sugar 4 star anise 2 green cardamom pods, smashed 4 whole cloves 1/2tsp vanilla extract Bring water to a boil. Add tea, sugar, and spices, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Boil for 3 minutes and let cool for 3 hours. Strain out spices. Serve topped with milk.
